WG3 has been established mainly to implement monitoring and assessment of harmful algal blooms (HAB) including red tide, which is chosen as the initial subject of coastal environmental assessment.

HAB Reference Database provides reference information on scientific studies on HABs including red tide and toxin-producing plankton. It is hoped that this database will promote further studies on red tide and HAB in the NOWPAP Region
