To provide opportunities for students, young researchers and coastal managers to acquire useful skills and knowledge of utilizing remote sensing data for monitoring and assessing the coastal and marine environment.

Trainees
22 trainees from 7 countries were selected out of 58 applicants by screening by the Organizing Committee consisting of experts in CEARAC, PICES and IOC/WESTPAC, based on the contents of submitted application. They were postgraduate students, professional researchers and local government officers working in the field of marine sciences.
