The eutrophication status was assessed and the validity of the NOWPAP Common Procedure (2013 revision) was evaluated based on the results of the case studies conducted in 2013 in the selected sea areas of the NOWPAP member states using only the screening procedure of the NOWPAP Common Procedure. |

Based on the results of the case studies conducted in 2013 and opinions of CEARAC experts, the NOWPAP Common Procedure (2009) was revised. The assessment process now consists of two steps: Screening procedure (first diagnosis) using the minimum required parameters; and a Comprehensive procedure (second diagnosis) for detailed assessment. |

Using the NOWPAP Common Procedure (2009), the eutrophication status was assessed based on the results of the case studies conducted in the selected areas in each NOWPAP member state in 2011, and the validity of the procedure was evaluated. |
