This Integrated Report compiles information on occurrences of harmful algal blooms (HABs) in the Northwest Pacific region and introduces HAB monitoring systems in each NOWPAP member state.
From 2009 to 2010, case study areas were selected from the areas in which HAB occurrences were serious in each member state, and information on HAB occurrences and monitoring systems in those areas was collected to prepare national case study reports.
Then, the Integrated Report on Harmful Algal Blooms (HABs) for the NOWPAP Region, compilation of the four national case study reports, was developed in 2011.
